Course Description:
A practical deep-dive training session on Microsoft Copilot Studio and agentic AI. The course introduces agentic AI, how it differs from traditional RPA, and how Copilot Studio can be used as an orchestration layer to build custom agents that combine conversations, reasoning, enterprise knowledge, actions, triggers and automation. Participants will explore the foundations of Copilot Studio, agent design concepts, a first autonomous-agent scenario, testing and refinement, deployment considerations, and best practices for combining Copilot Studio with RPA and Power Platform solutions.
Target Audience:
Developers, automation specialists, low-code makers, process automation teams, business analysts with automation exposure, and technical users interested in building or governing Copilot Studio agents.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the concept of agentic AI and how it differs from rule-based RPA.
- Explain where Copilot Studio fits within the Microsoft AI and Power Platform ecosystem.
- Understand what an agent is and how agents coordinate instructions, context, knowledge sources, topics, actions, inputs and triggers.
- Design a basic autonomous agent scenario using enterprise knowledge, actions and event-based triggers.
- Recognise how Copilot Studio can work with Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Apps, AI Builder, APIs and RPA bots.
- Apply testing, monitoring, governance, security and deployment considerations when preparing agents for use.
- Identify how RPA developers can evolve towards AI-driven automation design by combining deterministic automation with reasoning-based agents.
Prerequisites:
Basic understanding of software applications, business processes and data. No prior development experience is required.
